YOUTH MINISTRIES

From toddlers to young adults, our Youth Ministries guide the next generation through every stage of spiritual development, offering age-appropriate ways to worship, connect, serve, and grow in faith.

Each ministry is rooted in the four pillars of Orthodox Christian life:
Liturgia (worship), Koinonia (fellowship), Diakonia (service), and Martyria (witness).

Whether you’re lighting candles in HOPE, building friendships in GOYA, or networking through YAL, there’s a place for everyone to belong and flourish in our community.

H.O.P.E. CLUB

Hellenic Orthodox Primary Education – Preschool to Grade 1 (Ages 2–6)

H.O.P.E. (Holy Orthodox Primary Education) welcomes children ages 2–6 and their families to explore our Greek Orthodox faith through joyful, hands-on experiences. At this young and impressionable age, it is especially important for children to learn what it means to be Greek Orthodox, both spiritually and culturally, in a safe and encouraging environment.

The first H.O.P.E. group in London began in 1998 and quickly grew to serve over 50 children. It remains a vital part of our youth programming today.

H.O.P.E. meets monthly in the Church Hall. Below is a sample calendar of events:

  • October – Harvest Fest Celebration

  • November – Blessings

  • December – Birthday Party for Jesus

  • January – The Meaning of Baptism

  • February – Friendship

  • March – Learning about Lent

  • May – The Virgin Mary & Mother’s Day

  • June – Year-End Picnic

Come join us! Let your little ones explore their faith and get to know the church in a fun and nurturing way.

Our JOY and GOYA ministries help youth grow in their Orthodox Christian faith while building lifelong friendships and developing leadership skills. GOYA (for high school students) especially encourages teens to live their faith actively, take on leadership roles, and participate in meaningful retreats, events, and service projects throughout the year.

GOYA London was founded in 1956 and continues to be a central part of our community’s youth life.

Typical activities include:

  • Monthly meetings with prayer, discussions, and planning

  • Social events and community fundraisers

  • Service and outreach projects

  • Youth retreats for faith and fellowship

  • Snacks and refreshments always included!

Meetings usually take place in the Church Hall.
