Community Priest
Oikonomos Father Konstantine Chatzis, B.Sc., B.Th., M.Th.
Fr. Konstantine Chatzis is a native of Toronto, Ontario, where he was actively involved in the Church from a young age, participating in Greek School, Sunday School, youth conferences, and camp ministries. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Toronto (1997), followed by his Bachelor of Theology from the Patriarchal Toronto Orthodox Theological Academy (Valedictorian, 2001), and his Master of Theology in Liturgical Theology from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in New York (2003).
Ordained a Deacon in 2003 at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Toronto, and then a Priest in 2004 at Sts Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Kitchener. Fr. Konstantine initially served at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. From March 2004-September 2019, Fr. Konstantine served as the presiding priest at Sts. Peter and Paul in Kitchener, becoming the first Canadian born clergyman to lead that community. Consecutively, Fr. Konstantine began teaching, and he still
continues to teach, Liturgical Theology at the Patriarchal Toronto Orthodox Theological Academy. He was awarded the Offikion of Oikonomos in 2012. Fr. Konstantine served as secretary on the St. Photios Clergy Association of Canada council for four terms. Fr. Konstantine is currently the presiding priest of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community since his appointment in 2019. ​
He is married to Presbytera Stamatia, and they have a daughter, Evangelia. Fr. Konstantine’s ministry focuses on worship, faith education, community building, youth and senior outreach, and church beautification. He enjoys music, gardening, travel, and spending time with family.
